Community & events

I host community events.

01 Hackathon × no engineering required

Created, filled and ran “Thinkathon”

A one-day hackathon with the engineering requirement removed - San Francisco, April 2025. I got a professional event space for $0 in trade for Google reviews, then filled it to the venue’s legal capacity - mostly with strangers I cold-messaged because their work looked good. This created connections I’m still in close contact with today.

$0

02 Demo night × v0 by Vercel

Co-hosted the v0 by Vercel demo night

A cafe and demo night with Vercel - the company behind Next.js and v0. I co-hosted it with Vercel’s Alli Pope and Pablo Stanley.

“Had so much fun hosting our v0 by Vercel cafe and demo night … with the amazing Pablo Stanley, Steve Gorski …”

My favorite software projects I built

This is just a small snapshot of some of my favorite software projects I built and shipped to real users. (And before AI coding agents were around!)

02

Showdown

eSports Platform

Built a service that would let video game players compete against each other for in-game items.

  • Players would trade their items for “credits” that they could then use to bet on their in-game abilities.
  • For a real life example, imagine challenging your friend to a 1v1 game of basketball for $20. Instead of basketball, it was a video game, and instead of cash, it was credits that could be redeemed for virtual items.
  • The platform handled all of the transactions, matchmaking, and dynamic server creation for the video game matches.

Tech Stack · Python · Flask · Postgres · Heroku · SourcePawn · etc.

03

Soterra

$1M XPRIZE finalist

Developed a product for women’s safety that was a finalist at the United Nations in NYC.

  • Served as the technical lead from start to finish, helping build the entire product and manage the team.
  • Built an iOS and Android app with Bluetooth functionality to connect to our safety device.
  • Built an API and safety alert management systems.

Tech Stack · RedBear BLE · React Native · Java · Python · Flask · Twilio · etc.

StompzCraft

Where it started

What started out as a passion for Minecraft turned into a full-fledged business with over 1,000,000 unique players.

  • I started this server around the age of 13 and it exploded into a giant community of gamers.
  • This taught me a ton about business and computers. Ranging from SEO, managing multiple bare metal dedicated servers, hiring programmers, etc.
  • Served as my full-time job for many years.

+ more And many more projects - these are just the ones I most enjoy talking about.
